In their place, 33 residential apartments for Older Persons will be constructed, comprising 22 one-bedroom units and 11 two-bedroom units, with a total gross floor area of 2,200 sqm. These apartments will be accommodated within two interlinked deck-access blocks: Block A, a four-storey structure, addresses the front of the site and features brick cladding and a pitched roof with dormer windows, while Block B, positioned toward the rear, is a brick-clad three-storey volume with a combination of pitched roofing with PV panels and flat green roofing. A landscaped communal courtyard will be provided between the two blocks, creating a shared outdoor space for residents. Vehicular access to the development will be facilitated by a new 4.8-metre-wide access road from the front slip road off Coolock Lane, leading to 11 car parking spaces, including two EV and two accessible spaces, located behind Block B. Additionally, pedestrian access will be provided via two separate entry points from Oak View. Each apartment will feature either a balcony or terrace, with balconies on Block A positioned along the southwest elevation, while those on Block B will be accommodated as part of the communal deck overlooking the courtyard.
