Title : LA3206C - CFT for the Supply, Delivery and Installation of an Autonomous Mobile Robot System for University of Galway
Description : The University of Galway request the supply of an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) system equipped for fully autonomous navigation. The autonomous capability and reprogrammable nature of AMR technology provides unprecedented flexibility and scalability and has the potential to significantly alter and improve manufacturing processes. The University of Galway are actively exploring potential applications for AMR technology, including the construction of prefabricated housing. This equipment will enable the university to collaborate with industry partners and support the wider adoption of AMR technology into existing workflows. While single-arm AMR systems are now established on the market, the recent emergence of multi-arm AMR systems offers considerable potential for enhanced mobile automation. The trade-offs between technical capability (e.g. work envelope, combined load capacity, total degrees of freedom) and mobility, power usage, stability, programming complexity, cost and other considerations, concerning one-arm or two-arm systems, are not well-defined in the market. Thus, the University of Galway will consider submissions for both single arm and double arm AMR systems. Lot 1 (Option) - Autonomous Mobile Robot System with One (1) Arm Or Lot 2 (Option) - Autonomous Mobile Robot System with Two (2) Arms It will be at the Sole discretion of the contracting authority to decide which option to choose between an Autonomous Mobile Robot system with One (1) arm or an Autonomous Mobile Robot system with Two (2) arms.
