Description : DTU intends to order a White Beam X Ray microscope for their DanMAX imaging instrument with the below features: 1. Fully motorized solution with dual magnification in a “white beam” geometry. This allows remote adjustments of the microscope and rapid (less than 5 seconds) switching between different magnifications for zoom-in modalities. 2. “white beam geometry (all optics is outside the X-ray beam) is critical for preventing optics browning caused by a high brilliance synchroton X-ray beam. 3. High numerical aperture of an objective is a critical factor for soft tissues X-ray tomography, becauseit allows to reduce dramatically deposited dose and eliminate radiation damage of the sample. DTU considers that no others can offer a device with the required specs, and therefore DTU intends to place a direct award with OpticPeter.
