The scheme with veterinary duties shall ensure that clinical guards are established for veterinary surgeons so that the necessary veterinary help can be provided in and outside ordinary working hours. The veterinary duty is a necessary part of the stand-by against serious infectious animal diseases and it is important for maintaining good animal welfare. Scope and geographical area: This procurement is for the provision of veterinary duty services in the areas "old Lindesnes municipality", "old Mandal municipality", "old Lyngdal municipality" and Farsund municipality – Lindesnes duty district. There are, thus, only parts of Lindesnes municipality and Lyngdal municipality that are included in the procurement. The other parts of these municipalities belong to a duty district further into the country. The contracting authority for this procurement is both Lyngdal, Lindesnes and Farsund municipalities, where Lyngdal municipality functions as the operator responsible for the scheme. A more detailed description of the extent is given in the tender documentation and in the contracting authority ́s requirement specification. Rules and procurement procedure: The procurement will be made in accordance with the current law 17 June 2016 no. 73 on public procurements (LOA) and regulations 12 August 2016 no. 974 on public procurements (FOA) parts I and IV.
