Through this RFI, Bane NOR aims to gather insight into: - Available standard locomotives - mainline freight and heavy shunting operations - Production lead times and manufacturing capacity - Technical concept and different energy carrier - Estimated budget prices The primary interest is in locomotives that are proven in use, to support a smooth procurement and regulatory approval process — especially through ERA (European Union Agency for Railways). However, innovative or conceptual solutions are also of interest. We would like written feedback on the various functions, concept, and relevant past projects/deliveries.
