‘Aviation DFMC SBAS Receiver Prototype (Second Source)’
Description
:
Development and testing of an aviation DFMC SBAS prototype receiver that will support the EUROCAE DFMC SBAS MOPS validation and will enable industrialisation of the prototype and certification of the receiver in the shortest possible time (industrialisation and certification are out of scope of the procurement). The receiver shall include DFMC SBAS functions (for GPS and Galileo), as well as Horizontal-ARAIM and RAIM functions. A Vertical-ARAIM function shall be taken into account for the purpose of dimensioning the computational capabilities in the design and development of the prototype receiver. The implementation of Horizontal-ARAIM and the assumptions for Vertical-ARAIM shall be based on the current state of standardisation of this feature at the beginning of the activity and updated during the course of the project. Prototyping and validation activities required before the production of a commercial product rely on the availability of standardisation documents. Further info — in tender specifications.

Need for modifications because of circumstances which a diligent buyer could not predict.
Description
:
The need for modifications stems from the late finalisation of the MOPS standards by EUROCAE, which could not have been anticipated by the Agency at time of Contract signature. As a matter of fact, considering that at time of Contract signature it was expected that the MOPS would be finalised by EUROCAE by the end of 2020 and that the Contract end date was set on May 2022, time margin had been allocated to ensure that the Contractor would be able to implement the final version of the MOPS in the receiver. There is consequently a need to amend the Contract to extend its tasks and duration (up to 52 months) in order to allow the Contractor to implement also the final version of the MOPS into the receiver.
7.1.1 Change
Description of modifications
:
The maximum total amount to be paid by EUSPA under the Contract shall be EUR 5.755.422,56 (five million seven hundred fifty-five thousand four hundred twenty-two Euro and fifty-six cents words) covering the execution of all tasks, and the delivery of all related supplies. The above total amount is fixed and firm and includes all costs and expenses for the fulfilment of the Contract. The contract duration is extended until 25/04/2024.
