Main features of the procedure : Norway ́s laboratory for doping analyses at the Department of Pharmacology at Oslo University Hospital, Aker Sykehus is an internationally accredited laboratory for doping control within sport. The section shall procure two gas chromatographs connected to triple quadpole mass spectrometry instruments (GC-MS/MS) that shall function as a complete back-up system for each other. The instruments shall be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of doping agents and their metabolites in urine. The instruments shall be used in both screening and confirmation analyses of all the urine samples that the laboratory receives. The system must be sufficiently sensitive (for low concentrations) and at the same time quantities of a large concentration area (1-10,000 ng/ml) can be quantited. The instrument must be robust and suitable for daily routine use. All additional components that are necessary for the analysis equipment to be operative must be included in the procurement. The procurement also includes options for 3 systems consisting of GC-MS/MS, which have the possibility for the following additional equipment: 1 Head-space in addition to fluid injection on each GC-MS/MS.
