The analogue sensors will be used with separate data loggers, while the digital sensors have integrated data loggers. KNMI has the intention to purchase at least 51 analogue and 6 digital sensors. Additional orders may be placed depending on the work to be carried out and available project budget. Based on current estimates, the total number of sensors to be purchased could reach 95 (80 analogue and 15 digital). The total estimated agreement value for these 95 sensors is €700,000 (excluding VAT). Past experiences indicate that project-related measurement requests can surge unexpectedly. Proactively anticipating to such demand is preferred, given the relatively long lead times associated with procurement processes.
