Regulation 154 (1) (b) (ii) of the Public Procurement Regulations The Linear accelerators installed at Sir Anthony Oncology Centre may only be serviced, calibrated and repaired by Elekta authorised engineers. Anybody not authorised to complete this sort of technical work on our Qty 2 Linear Accelerators may lead towards criminally legal implications, especially in the event of patient injury whilst being treated on these machines. Moreover the RPC, the Malta authority allowing any entity to make use of ionisation radiation equipment, will bever grant us the permit to make use of this equipment if these modalities are not serviced, calibrated and repaired by Elekta authorised engineers.
