Main features of the procedure

This contract is for the procurement of an ICP-MS triple coil complete with auto-sampler and an introduction system for analysing elements. A robust system for determining elements in food articles, fish and seafood, feed, tissue, tissue fluids, sea water and sludge/sediment. The system shall be a triple-square ICP-MS and it shall mainly be used for routine analyses. The following methods shall be analysed on the instrument; 1a) Al, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Mo, Ag, Cd, Hg and Pb in foodstuffs, fish and seafood, feed, tissue and tissue fluids.1b) Na, Mg, P, K, Ca i food articles, fish and seafood, fodder, tissues and tissue fluids.1c) V, Mn, Fe, co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Cd, Hg and Pb in sea water 1d) Al, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Sr, Cd, Ba, Hg and Pb in sludge/sediment. In the long term, we would like to include rare earth elements (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc, Y). This requires a system with high sensitivity, low background noise and the ability to eliminate interferences. The system must have automatic sample dilution (fluid) to handle samples with high concentrations.
