Title : Patient Warming and Cooling devices for the new children's hospital
Description : The provision of reusable Patient Warming and Cooling devices for a digital, state of art, new children’s hospital which is currently under construction for Children’s Health Ireland. We require reliable and safe devices tailored to the unique needs of children in critical clinical areas—including operating theatres, recovery rooms, and neonatal and paediatric intensive care units. The requirements are defined in three separate Lots. Tenderers may apply for one, two or for all as follows: Lot A Patient Warming Unit, Circulating Liquid, estimated quantity required is 15. Lot B Patient Warming/Cooling Unit, Circulating Liquid, estimated quantity required is 15. Lot C Patient Warming, Conductive Solution, estimated quantity required is 32. Patient Warming and Cooling Devices are required to prevent hypothermia and maintain normothermia during surgical procedures, recovery and other medical interventions. The temperature of each device needs to be adjustable and varied within a defined range. Sensors are required to ensure precise and controlled operation, plus audible and visual alarms and thermostats to enhance patient safety. Systems proposed should be versatile and suitable for acute hospitals and paediatric patients (typically aged between 0-18 years and varying in weight from 500g to 180kgs). We have specified patient warming and cooling solutions that utilise reusable blankets/pads rather than single use, disposables to minimise waste and align with Children's Health Ireland green campus initiatives.
