As part of the overall Galileo 2nd Generation In-Orbit Validation Ground Segment (G2G IOV Ground Segment), the G2G IOV Ground Control Segment has as main purpose the delivery of the relevant Ground Control System capabilities as an upgrade of the Galileo infrastructure in order to contribute to the following two versions of the system: 1. a first version supporting the LEOP, IOT and operations of up to two new families of Galileo Second Generation Batch #1 (G2SB1) satellites, with the first launch planned in November 2024; and 2. a second version of the system for the provision of legacy services, early versions of G2 system capabilities and overall G2G In-Orbit Validation activities. Options in this procurement will include among other additional TTC station deployment, maintenance activities.

Option A – Release 4.1 – deployment on OPE chains and remote sites (EUR 3 995 939). Option B – L2/L3 Maintenance extension of release 4.0 (2 x EUR 2 978 298). This option can be exercised twice. Option C – L2/L3 Maintenance extension of release 4.1 (EUR 7 914 672). Option D – Hand-over of 4.0 L2/L3 maintenance to a third party (EUR 316 981) – prerequisite: activation of opt. B. Option E – Hand-over of 4.1 L2/L3 maintenance to a third party (EUR 341 825) – prerequisite: activation of opt. C.
