Description
:
Uplift to value of the Framework in order to urgently (i) purchase and install critical network and security hardware that will reach End of Life, and (ii) renew vendor support and licence renewals to ensure continuation of support for security patching, LAN networks and devices that support national critical infrastructure OT and IT systems. A number of EirGrid’s critical networks and security devices will reach End of Life status by September 2025, and will require new hardware and installation services from the incumbent supplier. The equipment has a 12-week lead time and needs to be ordered as soon as possible to allow for completion of the installation and commissioning works. This installation and commissioning works will be carried out on the live network and requires in-depth technical knowledge of EirGrid’s systems, processes and system connectivity to complete this process. EirGrid also require urgent vendor support and license renewals in order to maintain support for security and LAN networks and devices that support critical OT and IT systems. Without such support and licence renewals, EirGrid would have no out-of-hours support or spare parts to complete necessary repairs or security patches to ensure protection against cyber threats. The uplift in Framework value is necessary as the above purchases must be made urgently, and prior to any awards under the ongoing tender ENQEIR921. However, some portion of the spend of the uplifted value may be postponed until award of the ENQEIR921 tender The value of the modification is €3,124,035.
